I have taken flower arrangement lessons since 2011 of Spring and hope to be a florist. I used to work in a discount store and had been selling flowers when I was there, but I didn't know how to arrange flowers, so I wanted to learn.

At first, I took part in a university extension course. Students took the course to cultivate themselves. I wanted any licenses or certification, so I canceled the course but I have been learning at a flower school since Aug. The teacher is the same teacher who taught me how to arrange flowers in the Uni.

I hope to find a new job this year.

Somebody emailed me and asked me if he can use my photo as a cover for his book that he will be self-publishing this winter.

He also asked what fee I will charge for the rights to use the photo for his book cover. Should I charge him, if I permit? There's no reason to decline the offer, however I'm not going to sell my photos. To tell the truth, I will permit him to use the photo for free, but what things will be benefit to me? Selling my name? I think of it.

It was cloudy and not so hot. It happens a heat-island effect in the Summer, so I thought today was very good weather to go to Tokyo. You may die if you visit there without bottles of water. Well, I visited Pokemon Center to buy a souvenir for my nephew, Reon. I took the photo at Hamamatsu-cho station.

Since we have hard time, it's difficult to have fun time. I didn't feel that I wanted to see Cherry blossoms this year. Well, I'm going back to Yamagata on this week to see my family. The other day, my nephew, Reon (= On-kun) who is 8 years old called us and my mum talked to him. On-kun wanted to tell his news what he was allowed to wear white swimming cap, because he can swim 25 meters. He doesn't need his red cap anymore. Instead, his brother may use it next year.

In Japan, to make known ability for swimming, school kids have to wear red or white swimming cap when they swim.

A manager told me that he wanted to hear news about my marriage before he retires from his job. I don't know when he will leave the company, but I'm sure he can't hear such news soon. Another man said that I had better allow an insect. Sometimes it will be good for me. It's figuration and he means man. I returned from work and I had no sooner gotten emails than I turned on my PC. At first, I thought they were junk mails or something like that. Because I hardly tell my address because of the questions.

When I had to leave home for a party, my grandma fell down from stairs.

It was 6:15 p.m. and the party started at 6:30 p.m. My parents were in my sister's house at that time, so I phoned mom and had to wait until they came back to home.

I also had to tell about it to somebody who was in the party, but I realized I have not registered coworkers' phone numbers except Eiji-san's. Because I hardly use cell phone. I just bring it anywhere and anytime. Eiji-san is 63 or 64. ;-) There are people who are close to my age in my company, but I don't know their numbers and I won't ask them because of the reason.

When I arrived at the party, it had already started, of course. It was around 7 p.m.

Actually I don't like such place and feel sick, because I don't drink and have not good memories for alcohol from my childhood.

I think Japan is alcoholic society. Drinking is still a kind of duty to keep good relationships with other people. Sometimes I am told that I should try to drink, but I won't. I hope such habit is gone.

At 8:30 p.m. I was leaving there. A man talked to me and he introduced me to his friends. It's funny for me, I didn't know who he was, because I am still newcomer.

Yesterday, my mom fried slices of dried pumpkin. Ah... frankly speaking, it tasted bad. Very hard and bitter. I won't attribute the products, but I think the pumpkin wasn't sweet enough. Also, my mom isn't good chef. :-D It is one of reasons why the food was bad. Today, I told Eijisan that I won't give good comment on it, and then he promised me to give more pumpkins....

I'm glad that my coworkers call me Maki or Maki-chan.

Sometimes Harumi-san invites Yumi-san, Mr. Goto, and me for lunch. They are my coworkers and over 30 years older than my age.

It's interesting for me. Two men work in a garage and try to tap new products using mushrooms, Japanese radishes and other vegetables. When they are busy, their friends come to help gathering. It seems that they enjoy their hobby.

I may starve for affection. I look them as men. I know, I know, I know. They are older than my dad's age. I respect Harumi-san, Katsumi-san, Mr. Hasegawa... and I don't have a good relationship with my dad, so I think like that. Yes, it is the reason. Although my honey in Australia, I like him the most. As a matter of fact, I have never asked him his age. It's may strange for you, but it's true. Because... hmmm... we didn't have enough time to know each other when I was there and I think age is not important. Also it's obvious that I am young.

Christmas day is coming.

I got a Japanese dictionary, a Kanji dictionary and kids books for my nephews and niece on Sat. They are kids' Christmas gifts from me, but I've already given them, because I'm honest and can't keep secrets. Haha... :-D By the way, I gave dictionaries for Reon who is 7. On-kun knows lots of words nowadays. Sometimes we are surprised that he knows difficult words. So, I and my mom think dictionaries help him when he finds words and Kanji which he doesn't know the meaning.

I remember that we stayed in Travelodge where was near Wynyard station. He asked me if I wanted something to drink, so I requested him Orange juice. I thought he bought it at a kiosk or a supermarket in the station, but he went to a juice shop for my request. Fortunately for me, I could easily find Orange juice which wasn't diluted water in Australia. He didn't have to do that and could get it at a supermarket where was nearest place than the juice shop.

I received a Christmas card from my friend Yoko. I thought Christmas isn't coming around me again. I appreciate her kindness from bottom of my heart.

I'm still waiting for an email. If I have other ways to contact with him, I will try them, but I don't. I have to wait until I get a reply. The last month, I waited for his reply for 16 days. Yes, he wrote me after that and every time he did. However I'm tired of it. I don't know how many times I heard a Tom Jones' song "I couldn't say goodbye" in my mind. I think I feel lonely.

Some Japanese people tend to measure boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s love by the frequency of talking on the phone, sending emails and how he/she quickly sends replies.

I think such relationship is very fragile. I don’t wish my boyfriend to do it, however I should be told the reason why I have no mail when I don’t hear from him. My questions hardly be solved. Why? I don't like these questions.

"Do you have a holiday?"

"What do you do?"

I was asked by hairdressers when she was cutting my hair.

Every time, they asked me. Yes, they ask the same questions not only to me, but also to other customers.

"What do you do?" is common question to swell conversation with strangers. And some people will say "what's happened?" In fact, they want to ask me if I break up with my boyfriend or not. I had a hair cut today, but there's no bad news to me.

I came across an old coworker in a department store. The beauty salon is in the same building. I worked with Suzuki-san when I was a clerk. She has quit her job, too. I think she is in her middle 60. She remember my face and talked to me.

I hope to visit the store to see my former coworkers, but I haven't been there yet, because Mr. Aoki may work there. The last fall, he told me "thank you for playing with me" in his mail. So, I wrote "then, you couldn't break companionship between you and me" in my last mail.

Do you know what I mean?

I wasn't angry at him, but stopped writing. Because I wasn't in Japan at that time. And I knew the reason why he wrote like that. So, I stopped.

Blah, blah, blah...

It's still hard to visit there for me.

In the afternoon, a woman who is a wife of my coworker visited the office to get a paper. They had a baby last month.

While I listened for conversation with Yumi-san and her, I was uncomfortable. I know the reason. I'm not envy that she got married and has the baby. I have two nephews and a niece who play with me. Haha... :-D I was jealous that her husband stays by her side and can see him everyday. I don't. I haven't seen my honey since Dec. I get emails and chat with him once in a while, but they are not enough for me.

Even Japanese, I sometimes misunderstand and can't make out meaning. If it is a foreign language, such problems are often happened and I am worried about something I don't have to be. But if I can talk to him in person, they won't be serious.

I hope to return to Australia soon.

I'm waiting for an answer.

Though I got a new job last month, I will quit when I get enough money to return to Australia. I know that I will lose reliance upon me from people. Because my uncle invited me to the company and they will bear everything for me. I'm blessed by people. I really know it, therefore I'm tired of myself and feel guilty. But now I'm just working for my interests. I wonder if my honey will understand our social system and why I feel guilty or not.

Baby its time to think...

My nephew called Reon is staying in my house. When I returned from work, I heard sound and thought somebody was playing a video game. I cautiously entered the room and looked in the direction of sound.

Reon! I saw my nephew! He sat on a sofa and was playing there.

As far as I know, he had never stayed here without his mom and siblings. My dad is in the hospital, so Reon is the male who is in the house.

I often visit Facebook since I got a request from my ex's sister. I hardly used the website though I am a member of it for two or three years.

I was surprised.

One of my friends who I met him in Sydney gave me a request the other day. He entered the language school where I studied and joined my class. I didn't have a chance to talk to him, because I'm shy and I graduated from school soon and I'd skipped some classes since I met Hikoboshi.

I'm not sure that I can see my school friends again, but I wish to keep in touch with.

July 7... it's Tanabata. Tanabata is one of our customs. I used to write a wish on a Tanzaku and hanged it on bamboo at school. Returning to Australia is my wish. And I also with to see my Hikoboshi.
